State Safety Regulations

Safety restraint use is required for all front seat occupants regardless of age and applies to rear seat passengers under 16. Children under four must be restrained in a federally approved child safety seat.

 

Highways

 

Six major Interstate highways include 84 and 684, New England Throway or 95, New York Thruway or 87, Route 17 or 86, and 278 or Cross Westchester Expressway. Five bridges span the Hudson River from Catskill to Bear Mountain.
