Pelham is the oldest town in Westchester County.  At the 2000 census the population was 11,866.  Pelham contains two villages: Pelham and Pelham Manor.  Characterized as small villages just 30 minutes outside of New York City, Pelham and Pelham Manor are close to LaGuardia International Airport as well as the Bronx Zoo, the Botanical Gardens, and a host of excellent colleges and universities.  Their neighborhood schools rank among the top 15 percent in the entire nation, garnering Blue Ribbon Awards for excellence.  With the area’s superb educational reputation, natural convenience, and close proximity to urban amenities, residents of Pelham can enjoy the best of all worlds.
