Stretching over 22 square miles, Hunterdon County's southernmost community of West Amwell Township is growing slowly.  Primarily rural with dairy farms dotting the landscape, its historic villages include Rocktown and Mount Airy, boasting a picturesque 1754 church and tavern from the Revolutionary War era. The township is a close knit rural community of families and neighbors who passionately care about preserving the quality of life that so many have enjoyed. The northern areas of West Amwell are in Amwell Valley, while the southern sections are in The Sourlands region.  The township borders the City of Lambertville, Delaware Township, East Amwell Township and Hopewell Township in Mercer County.
