Edgewood is located in the southern part of Harford County.  It is bordered to the south by Aberdeen Proving Ground, sometimes called Gunpowder, to the east by the Bush River, to the north by Abingdon, and to the west by also known as Joppatowne.  It has a total area of 18 square miles and a population over 23,000. The community of Edgewood harmonizes suburban and rural lifestyles that are enhanced by the rolling Bush River and its first-rate recreational opportunities for water sports.
