Located in the town of Hampstead, East Rockaway offers a hometown atmosphere and a progressive attitude toward restoration and revitalization. The Waterfront Revitalization program has added a fishing pier and floating docks at the Talfor Boat Basin as well as a boardwalk and railing around White Cannon Point. Commuters are enjoying the new parking field just south of the East Rockaway Railroad Station.
