The incorporated suburb of Jersey Village is served by FM 529 and US Highway 290 in west-central Harris County.  The community had its genesis with homesite development around Jersey Lake as early as the 1950s.  Along with the homes that sprang up over the decades came the development of vital services that include a neighborhood school as well as recreational amenities such as an 18-hole golf course and a community park. Residents enjoy all the friendliness and warmth of a small-town environment but have ready access to a variety of dining, shopping, entertainment, and recreational amenities.
