The county seat of Cheatham County is also a regional center for antiques. The Town of Ashland City lies just a short drive northwest from Nashville on either Highway 12 or Interstate 24W. Nestled in the rolling hills along the north side of the Cumberland River, this “big little town” offers everything from a highly respected hospital to a large discount department store. Although the city clearly reflects the growing sophistication and development that has marked Cheatham County over the past decade, it has managed to maintain the small-town ambiance of yesterday. Beautiful and affordable three and four-bedroom homes have attracted many families to the scenic atmosphere and convenient commuting location.
