Upper Darby is the largest municipality of any type in Delaware County and the 5th largest municipality in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, there were over 85,000 people. It is located just 3.8 miles from Center City and bordering West Philadelphia via Cobbs Creek, many of its residents work in Center City.
