Ridley Park is a borough in Delaware County. The population is over 7,000 and the borough has a total area of 1.1 square miles. It is named after a place in Cheshire, England and was founded by Isaac Hinckley in 1870. As the President of the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad, Hinckley established Ridley Park with the intention of creating a main line that would cut through the borough.
