Garrison is a hamlet in the town of Philipstown in Putnam County. It is located on the east side of the Hudson River, across from West Point, just 50 miles north of Manhattan. Due to its wonderful scenery and location it is quite popular with successful New Yorkers seeking a quiet weekend hideaway. Homes are typically old, charming and with dirt roads.
