Allamuchy is a rural community located in Warren County along the Pequest River, and is ideal for those who prefer open space, rolling hills, rich woodlands, and a country lifestyle. The Musconetcong River forms the Township's southeastern border. The majority of Allamuchy's 21 square miles are still farms and forests. The only substantial development is the Panther Valley community at the juncture of Interstate 80 and Route 517, a 1,200-home development of single-family homes, condominiums, and townhouses. Scattered retail shops provide daily conveniences, with larger malls nearby. Playgrounds, parks, athletic fields, tennis courts, sports leagues, supervised programs, 4-H Club, and community programs provide quality options for leisure hours.
