Houma is a quickly growing city in coastal city in south Louisiana. The Terrebonne Parish town holds its earliest roots to the 1600s when Cajuns settled on the fertile lands of the parish. In the late 20th Century, the town really started to explode as the oil industry continued to grow in Louisiana. The Houma area boasts one of the lowest unemployment rates in the entire country.
