About Southington
Covering 37 square miles, Southington was one of the area’s first industrial centers and claims a number of important inventions and manufacturing innovation. Over the years, one success after another in the production of special hardware items and tools ensured the town’s legacy as a premier center of manufacturing. At the same time, the area became well known for its apple orchards and pleasing residential neighborhoods.
