Sylacauga is a very family oriented town. With several public parks and activities for children year round. Sylacauga has several great restaurants that are locally owned and operated. Tons of gift shops and antique stores to spend an afternoon looking through. Sylacauga is known for two things. It is the only white marble quarry in the United States and actor Jim Neighbors is from Sylacauga. The school system is top notch and really has the support of the entire community.
