Several years ago about 30 acres of forest were turned into fields, carefully interspersed through the woods to better see and attract game. Currently these fields are mowed annually with good results each season. Planted with deer forage, hunters could expect great results. Clear-Cut Pond, roughly 6 acres in size, is a small beaver pond found at the far end of one of these fields. Beyond the pond, a strategically placed 'Texas Deer Stand' rises above the treeline offering a 360 degree view of the area. Stands were erected adjacent to the other fields as well.
