138 Tanglewylde Road

Nestled in the peaceful, wooded Lake Peekskill community, this beautifully updated home offers the perfect blend of modern comfort, scenic surroundings, and convenient Hudson Valley living. While many homes in Lake Peekskill offer only street parking and require climbing numerous stairs to reach the front door, this home sits level with the street for step-free access from its off-street parking pad! And yes, the landlord will consider pets! Available as an unfurnished, year-round rental, 138 Tanglewylde Rd offers approximately 1,500 square feet of living space across two finished levels, with seasonal lake and mountain views. Enter from the covered front porch into the main-level living room, featuring hardwood floors and great sightlines to the eat-in kitchen with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and new laminate flooring. Just off the kitchen, overlooking the backyard, is a sun-filled, flexible space with amazing views—perfect for a home office, pantry, or oversized closet. Both bedrooms and the full bath are located on the main level. The primary bedroom features a wall of closets and plenty of natural light. The finished walkout lower level offers a spacious recreation room, a separate bonus room with a walk-in closet, a half bath, and a dedicated laundry room. This flexible layout provides additional room to spread out indoors, with easy access to the patio and backyard. Recent improvements include fresh interior paint, foam insulation in the basement and attic, new kitchen flooring, and a UV water filtration system. Additional features include ductless heating and cooling, updated windows, and a usable backyard—another special, hard-to-come-by feature in Lake Peekskill! Conveniently located near Route 6 for shopping and dining in Mohegan Lake. Great for commuters, with easy access to the Taconic State Parkway and Route 9, and less than 20 minutes from the Peekskill Metro-North train station.
