Some homes have a story to tell. The Robinson Estate has nearly a century of them. Built by Captain Joseph Robinson on Long Island’s South Shore, this remarkable property offers a rare opportunity to experience a piece of the area's history. Set across nearly two acres, the grounds are a world unto themselves, with winding gardens, mature specimen plantings, a tranquil koi pond, and a remarkable Lord & Burnham greenhouse that feels like a discovery from another time. The character continues indoors, where original details have been thoughtfully preserved. Rich oak and mahogany floors, intricate crown molding, and distinctive push-button lighting recall the craftsmanship of an earlier era, while modern enhancements bring everyday comforts into the picture. Generous gathering rooms and thoughtfully arranged entertaining spaces give the home a sense of occasion without sacrificing its warmth. Outside, the setting takes on an entirely different character. A striking diamond-finished in-ground pool sits among the gardens, with a separate pool house offering its own kitchen, bathroom, and lofted space. A large finished basement provides additional room for recreation, relaxation, and gathering. There are mornings to spend in the greenhouse, afternoons by the pool, and evenings that seem to linger a little longer in surroundings like these. And when it's time to venture out, the shops, restaurants, beaches, and village life of beloved Bellport are just a short distance away.
