XXX SG Road

This secluded 130-acre property features more than 3,700 feet of frontage on the North Branch of the Ford River, a pond, and a dense, mature forest. Access is provided by a well-developed trail that crosses the property, making it easy to reach various areas of the land. The river forms the western property boundary and remains undeveloped and natural along this stretch. There is reportedly good brook trout fishing in the river, with very little fishing pressure due to the lack of public access. A remnant trail follows the river but is now heavily overgrown. Several potential campsites appear to be available along the river and in other areas of the property, particularly toward the north. Much of the property consists of dense, mature cedar forest, transitioning farther north into a mix of poplar, maple, and pine. The property adjoins landlocked state land and is also near several substantial state-owned tracts, including two State Wildlife Management Areas and a Grouse Enhanced Management Site. The property is off-grid and accessed by an easement through private property, helping limit hunting pressure in the area. Although specific fishery information for this stretch of the Ford River is limited, other portions of the Ford River system support steelhead fishing and are considered “Blue Ribbon” quality. The property is also located within the Arnold-Ford River Deer Wintering Complex, which may provide opportunities for the owner to access grants for wildlife habitat improvements.
