The 1870 Odd Fellows Lodge is an iconic building in the center of Germantown available for the first time in almost fifty years. The building offers over four-thousand square feet on three floors with virtually all its original details intact. Carefully preserved but modernized with plumbing upgrades, hot water heating and twentieth-century wiring. Originally it housed the town's first phone company and firehouse and was later a popular used bookstore. The entire second floor is an expansive loft-style apartment and the original Odd Fellows meeting hall remains untouched on the top floor. Over time the Lodge has served an historic ice boat museum, cabaret space, film festival venue and artists' collective. For over 150 years has been a gathering space for the community, thriving under the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOFF) core motto ''Friendship, Love and Truth''. This unique and very special building has endless possibilities. Commercial activity surrounds the building with two popular restaurants, several galleries and the famous Otto's grocery and deli.
