Weichert’s 46th Annual Toy Drive Helps Spread Cheer During the Holidays

The Weichert Family of Companies successfully completed its 46th Annual Toy Drive, collecting more than 8,700 new toys for families and children in need this holiday season. In addition, cash and gift cards totaling more than $6,100 were collected and donated to various charities, along with nourishing food and winter coats and clothing.

For 46 years, our annual toy drive has helped bring incredible joy to so many children and their families during the holiday season,” said Jim Weichert, chairman and CEO of Weichert Companies. “This year’s toy drive was another success, thanks to the tremendous generosity shown by Weichert sales associates and employees, as well as our clients and the residents and businesses in the communities we serve.”

New, unwrapped toys and other contributions were collected at Weichert, Realtors sales offices throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC. The company’s corporate office in Morris Plains, NJ, and the Weichert Workforce Mobility office in Parsippany, NJ, collected almost 500 toys for the New Jersey Department of Child Protection & Permanency. That total included a generous contribution by students and families at Assumption School in Morristown, which held a toy drive spearheaded by seventh graders Sam Meszaros and Nick Ricciardi.

Other charities throughout the Northeast that received donations include Cathy Hudgins Community Center at Southgate; Center for Hope & Safety; Children’s Home Society; Cresskill Cares; Goryeb Children’s Hospital; David’s Touch Foundation; Good News Home for Women; Jason’s Dreams for Kids; Mobile Hope of Loudoun County; Monroe, NY Police Department; Ocean of Love; Lacey Food Bank Kids; Partners for Kids & Families; PathForward; Ronald McDonald House; Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child; Sassy Massey Smiles Foundation; and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, to name just a few.
