Weichert, Realtors 10th Annual Golf Outing Raises $50,000 for American Cancer Society

MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. – Weichert, Realtors announced that it raised $50,000 for the American Cancer Society during its 10th annual charity golf event. The funds collected will be used to support breast cancer research. Weichert has raised nearly $450,000 for the American Cancer Society since the annual fundraiser began in 2000.
“I’d like to express my appreciation to all those who helped make this year’s Weichert, Realtors golf outing a tremendous success,” said Jacelyn Botti, Head of Residential Sales for Weichert, Realtors. “We will continue to do our part to help the American Cancer Society in their effort to put an end to this dreaded disease.”
The Weichert, Realtors Golf Outing was held Aug. 19 at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, N.J. Nearly 200 golfers, who made contributions toward the cause, enjoyed a buffet luncheon, 18-hole golf tournament and post-tournament awards banquet and auction which included golf merchandise, gift certificates and flat screen TVs among other prizes.
More than 50 organizations supported the event through various forms of sponsorship. Top sponsors included Radian Guaranty, Fidelity National Title Insurance and Merrill Lynch. Other sponsors included Centric Benefits Consulting, Citizens Bank, Cooperative Communications, Ebert Appraisals, Executive Movers Service, Gizzi Appraisals, J.H. Cohn, Maplecrest Lincoln Mercury, Mercedes Benz of Morristown, Mullen & Reynolds, Ogletree Deakins, Sandler O’Neill & Partners, SOLIDIFI and Wells Fargo Funding.
In addition to the entry fee and sponsorship money collected, donations were collected during the event and from individuals who couldn’t attend the outing but still wished to contribute and support breast cancer research. The additional donations helped raise the total collected to $50,000.
