Weichert Commercial Relaunches Asset Recovery Division

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ, – John G. Udell, president, is pleased to announce that Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc. has relaunched its Asset Recovery Division. This division, which previously existed as Metland Properties Group, Inc., established in 1992, specializes in assisting lending institutions, financial services companies and other real estate organizations with their distressed real estate properties and loans.  

The reformation of the Asset Recovery Division is in response to a growing demand and increasing number of inquiries from lending institutions and other real estate companies that need assistance with their distressed real estate properties in this challenging market.

The staff of Weichert Commercial’s Asset Recovery Division is formed from within Weichert Commercial’s highly experienced professionals who previously worked for Metland Properties Group, with expertise in property valuation, sales and leasing, project management, construction/development and property management.  Since 1992, the Asset Recovery Team has completed hundreds of assignments ranging from consulting to construction projects, developer tasks and disposition marketing plans for over 19 banks in New York and Philadelphia metropolitan regions, in addition to providing service nationwide. The projects range from consulting to actual physical completion of projects and to marketing/disposition.

Weichert Commercial’s Asset Recovery Division previously existed as Metland Properties Group, Inc. an affiliated company of Weichert Realtors, established in 1992. During this time, Metland Properties provided consulting and construction services and brokered distressed assets, handling portfolios ranging from 1-30 assets.
