Fairfield Township is a township in Cumberland County in the Vineland-Millville metro area.  It borders Lawrence Township, Millville, Deerfield Township, Upper Deerfield Township, Bridgeton, Hopewell Township, Greenwich Township, and the Delaware Bay.  The township has a total area of 43.8 square miles and a population over 6,000.  Fairfield has three population centers: Sea Breeze, Fairton and Gouldtown.  These days, Fairfield is a blend of tidal marshes, open fields, and small communities.
