Bowie

County: Prince Georges

This former railroad town of Bowie is now the largest city in Prince George’s County. Convenient to the District of Columbia via Route 50, Bowie is the birthplace of American thoroughbred racing.  Much of the housing selection in this area consists of homes built in the 1960s, but newer residential enclaves dot the landscape and harmonize with a charming antiques district for a complete range of architectural styles. T he Bowie Health Center provides quality healthcare close to home, while regional hospitals are available nearby. Bowie State College, a public four-year institution, is located on 300 acres of panoramic woodland.  Bowie New Town Center offers a total living and working environment that includes apartments, townhomes, offices and a shopping mall.
