The historic and picturesque village of Roslyn Harbor is one of several villages and unincorporated communities in the Greater Roslyn area. At the 2000 census the population was 1,023 and it has a total area of 1.2 square miles, all of which is land. It was the desire of early residents to gain zoning control that drove the formation of Roslyn Harbor and Roslyn Estates in 1931.
