Munsey Park is a a vibrant and diverse community with a population of approximately 3,000. The community enjoys a quiet suburban atmosphere, yet is conveniently connected to the heart of Manhattan via commuter train. With its close proximity to the golden beaches, fine arts museums, prominent universities, major airports, town and county parks and recreation facilities, and world class shopping centers, Munsey Park captures suburban living at its very best. Munsey Park was developed on land purchased by wealthy publisher, Frank A. Munsey in 1922, which later in 1925, was willed to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. All homes in the village conform to colonial architecture and were built with the finest construction materials and workmanship. The village maintains strict building and zoning ordinances to insure proper design and individuality, while also protecting each neighborhood from extreme designs not in architectural harmony with the rest of the community. In 2008 BusinessWeek ranked Munsey Park as the 13th Wealthiest Town in America.
