East Williston

East Williston is an incorporated village in the town of North Hempstead in Nassau County.  At the 2000 census the population was 2,503.  The community provides a long established village atmosphere that is steeped in tradition and enriched with the involvement of their residents in social and civic organizations.  Annual events and seasonal traditions create a warm, close, knit spirit.  The Village Green in East Williston is the scene of activities that bring the community together, located just across from the railroad station.  Easter festivities, the volunteer fire department's Harvest Festival, Memorial Day and Veteran's Day Services, and the village tree lighting ceremony all take place on the town green.  Throughout the years East Williston has remained one of Long Island's most desirable communities.
