East Fallowfield Township

County: Chester

East Fallowfield Township is a township in Chester County.  The population was 5,157 at the 2000 census.  According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 15.7 square miles, all of it land.  Today, the township exists as a semi-rural municipality, highlighted by development clusters.  The northern sections show significant amounts of residential development, while majority of the southern properties are devoted to livestock farms and horse stables.   Housing options blend brick twins, mid-sized colonials on quarter-acre lots, newer sprawling colonials on lots of one or more acres, and stately old stone farmhouses that might feature one hundred acres of land or more.  Good transportation connections and quality schools make this an ideal area for young professionals as well as families of all stages.
