Glenolden is a borough in Delaware County, in the Philadelphia-Camden metro area. The community was named for the Glen Olden Mill, which once stood there. The population was 7,476 at the 2000 census. With both bus and train service to Philadelphia and other key destinations, this residential area provides a convenient way to have the “best of both worlds.” Newcomers can choose from reasonably priced older homes with traditional charm to new construction in a variety of architectural styles. Students living in Glenolden attend Interboro School District, which consists of Glenolden and its neighboring towns Prospect Park, Norwood, and Tinicum Township.
