Valley Township is a township in Chester County. The population was 5,116 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 6.0 square miles. Located in Valley Townships is a general aviation airport, Chester County G O Carlson Airport, allows private and corporate aircraft to easily access the town. The airport is located about 2 miles west of the center of the nearest major town, Coatesville. The community has planned carefully to protect the open spaces, original charm and reputation for a calmer, less hurried lifestyle that once characterized this area.
