About Cinnaminson Township
Cinnaminson is a township located in the northern quadrant of Burlington County. It borders the Delaware River, and is an eastern suburb of Philadelphia. The township has a total area of 8.1 square miles and a population around 14,500. The name "Cinnaminson" comes from the Lenni Lenape Indian word "Senamensing," meaning sweetwater, which was a reference to the sugar maple trees that once grew along the Delaware River in the area that is now Cinnaminson. The residential township of Cinnaminson provides a pleasant, suburban lifestyle for commuters to Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. Cinnaminson offers the Riverton Country Club, a golf course, tennis courts, swimming pools, playgrounds, and a woodland park. Boating facilities are available on the Delaware River, and hundreds of acres in the township are preserved for recreation.
