Longport is a Borough in Atlantic County, at the southernmost tip of Absecon Island. The borough has a total area of 1.6 square miles, and a population over 1,000. Absecon Island consists of the City of Atlantic City, the City of Ventnor, the City of Margate and the Borough of Longport. Longport is about a 65 minute drive to Philadelphia, a 2½ hour drive to New York City and just 15 minutes from downtown Atlantic City. It is primarily a residential community with a blend of older, quaint seashore homes, as well as breathtaking modern, shore styled houses. The beautiful, sandy white beaches are well maintained and easily accessible to all. Longport has maintained some breathtaking older buildings and have combined those with a great blend of modern architecture.
