About High Point

The furniture capital of the United States. High Point is located in North Carolina, situated near Greensboro and Guilford county, it is considered part of the Piedmont-Triad. What can be considered a great place to raise a family, with plenty of colleges and universities in the area, such as High Point University, and UNC. The origin of High Point's name comes from that it is the highest point of the 1856 North Carolina Railroad between Charlotte and Goldsboro. It was settled before 1750, and became incorporated in 1859.
