Located in the historic town of Ingot, where in 1862 the old timers mined for silver, copper, and zinc. There is a short dirt road entrance off the hwy located just after the Ingot, CA Auto Wrecker. There is a decent level area with the foundation of a shed started and there is an unpermitted shallow hand dug well right around the property line give or take, hard to say it's exact location without a surveyor. Some properties in this area are also getting government funding for old mine/mineral remanence cleanup from the EPA in the form of a Super Fund. (No cost to owner according to the EPA) This property adjoins 292 acres of BLM land to the Northwest that you may want to explore. The BLM land has at least one old cave or mine on it. The elevation ranges from 1120 to 1200 feet, below the snow.
