Loxley, AL Overview

Famous as the home of the Strawberry Festival, the City of Loxley preserves the atmosphere of the tranquil little community that was named for its founder, John Loxley.  Today, this growing town supports a booming business park for small industries and regional distribution centers.  Located south of the Interstate10 visitor's center, Loxley is home to the famous Burris Farm Market and a national plant distributor.  Often referred to as the "little town with the big heart, Loxley enjoys a prime location along State Highway 59, also known as Gulf Shores Parkway.  The community is approximately 25 miles from Gulf Shores and the major metropolitan center of Mobile as well as Pensacola, Florida.  This ideal centralized location provides access to metropolitan services and attractions with a rural atmosphere.  The city's excellent school system complements a medley of recreational facilities from sports fields to walking trails.  Regional state parks and easy access to water-oriented outdoor adventures add to the quality of life.
