Weichert Insurance Agency received its first agency appointment on January 1, 1977.
We are a full service insurance agency licensed for property and casualty insurance,
and life and health insurance, in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut,
Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C. Weichert Insurance Agency is a
member of the Professional Insurance Agents and the Independent Insurance Agents.
Weichert customers have invested a great deal in their homes. A home is the largest
investment most people will ever make. Therefore, it is our job to make sure it
is properly protected against loss as well as provide our customers with the best
additional insurance coverages available to meet their personal needs. While working
with over 15 major insurance carriers to find the most competitive premiums, we
do not stop there. It is just as important to know that the coverage fits the needs
of the client. Each client's insurance program is individually underwritten, and
fully investigated to assure it is the right fit for that individual.
The Weichert Insurance Agency has a staff of over 125 sales and customer service
representatives. More than half of the staff is licensed in Property and Casualty
Insurance. Most have earned higher insurance designations, such as, Certified Insurance
Service Representative (CISR), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Charter Property
Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). These designations are highly recognized in the insurance
industry and an indication of our professionalism.
As part of the Weichert Gold Services program, Weichert Insurance Agency coordinates
delivery of required homeowner's insurance along with Weichert Financial Services
and our Weichert Title provider to ensure a seamless settlement for home buyers.
In addition, we are able to provide insurance coverage for renters, automobiles,
flood, fine arts, jewelry, collectible items, life and health, and commercial insurance.
These additional insurance products are competitively priced and offered by top
rated carriers.
Some insurance coverages are difficult to underwrite and may result in higher premiums.
Coastal properties, including properties within 1 to 3 miles of a body of water,
are becoming more difficult to place. Dwellings with Exterior Insulation Finish
System, or EIFS are practically uninsurable. This is a synthetic stucco-cladding
used on exterior walls. Since no provision for water drainage was made the water
penetrates and causes rot, mold, and decay. The insurance industry has become more
reliant on credit history and insurance claims history of customers. Ownership of
certain breeds of dogs, exotic pets, pools and trampolines, etc., are additional
concerns to insurance carriers, and will effect the placement and pricing.
Although most of our insurance carriers provide toll free numbers for reporting
claims, the customer service staff at Weichert Insurance Agency are always ready
to act as a liaison on behalf of our customers. Our customer purchased insurance
to assure that protection is available when they need it, and our Service Representatives
are dedicated to providing quick and accurate processing of any claims or changes
