The lovely rural township of Fredon has maintained its rustic appeal with three-acre minimum lot sizes for residential development.  Planners are dedicated to controlling future growth, which is already evident in the rapid expansion of commercial and residential development along the Route 206 corridor.  In the charming historic Yellow Frame area, visitors and residents alike enjoy shopping in delightfully rustic country stores and specialty shops that stand as a living reminder of the area’s colorful past. Many of the orchards that were developed in the 1800s and 1900s still remain, the most famous being Windy Brow.  Transportation efficiencies include Route 94 and Route 206 as well as bus service to New York City. Recreational amenities are crowned by the 90-acre Lodestar Park.  The scenic Whittingham Tract, a portion of the New Jersey Fish, Game & Wildlife territories, is also nearby.
