Rye Brook is a village in Westchester County, within in the town of Rye. Located on the border of New York and Connecticut, the community offers an easy commute by car or train to White Plains or Stamford. As of the 2000 census the population was 8,602. The village has two school districts, the Blind Brook School District and Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District. The village uses six main parks made up of almost 100 acres of parkland. The headquarters of Cadbury Schweppes, the makers of Snapple, is located in Rye Brook, as well as The Journal News. The village offers supervised recreational programs for all ages.
