Weichert’s 47th Annual Toy Drive Supports Local Charities, Spreads Joy for the Holidays

The Weichert Family of Companies successfully completed its 47th Annual Toy Drive, collecting 8,500 new toys for families and children in need this holiday season. In addition, cash and gift cards totaling $2,700 were collected and donated to various charities, along with nourishing food, winter coats and clothing.

“Year after year, it is our privilege to help brighten the holidays for underprivileged children and families through our annual toy drive,” said Jim Weichert, chairman and CEO of Weichert Companies. “Weichert sales associates and employees embraced the spirit of the season and gave generously, as did our clients and the residents and businesses in the communities we serve.”

New, unwrapped toys and other contributions were collected at Weichert, Realtors sales offices throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC. The company’s corporate office in Morris Plains, NJ, and the Weichert Workforce Mobility office in Parsippany, NJ, collected 220 toys for the New Jersey Department of Child Protection & Permanency.

Other charities throughout the Northeast that received donations include C.A.S.A.; Catholic Charities of Camden, NJ; Center for Hope & Safety; Children’s Specialized Hospital; Cresskill Cares; Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical Center; HOME of Somerset County; Jersey Battered Women’s Services; Monroe, NY Police Department; Montclair, NJ Fire Department; Newark Beth Israel Medical Center; Oasis – A Haven for Women and Children; Octavious J. Catto School; Overlook Medical Center;  Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child; St. Gregory’s Pantry; Tulsa Trail Elementary School; and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, to name just a few.
