Burlington, NJ Overview

Strategically located near the Delaware River is Burlington City, surrounded by the primarily rural Burlington Township with its picturesque farms and open space.  Adjacent to these municipalities toward the east are the population centers of Florence and Fieldsboro as well as the City and Township of Bordentown, all of which offer convenient access to Interstate 295 and the New Jersey Turnpike.  Some commercialization and employment opportunities are available in these communities, although they are attractive to commuters with efficient mass transit services to both Trenton and Philadelphia. Burlington City is the most highly developed urban center in this area.  Among the many amenities available are ample retail facilities at the Burlington Center, well-organized recreational programs and an excellent public education system.  Burlington excels in historic charm, inviting visitors to travel through time in vintage sites and homes, period architecture, and wonderful antiques.
