Kelso Valley Ranch, also known as the Kelso Valley Airport, is located near the center of Kern County, approximately 22 miles north of Mojave, CA. In 2009, the property was graded for 2 large runways ideal for landing private aircraft weighing under 12, 500 pounds. The soils are great for growing crops or grazing cattle. There are two wells on the property, one of them producing 1000+ gpm with an onsite diesel generator and pump. Currently land is being used to graze cattle. Two airport runways were constructed of compressed soil in 2009 and are useful for helicopters, gliders and aircraft under 12, 500 pounds. (The runway has been unused since 2009, but the infrastructure is there.) Runway orientations are approximately 16/34 (north/south) and 8/26 (east/west). Property is fully fenced with an old homestead that burned in a fire years ago.
