Hardyston, NJ Overview

Ideally located in the northwestern corner of New Jersey, Hardyston serves as the “Gateway to Sussex County.”  Two state highways traverse the town and connect with Interstates 84 and 80, which offer direct links to Interstate 287, the New Jersey Turnpike, and the Garden State Parkway.  Additional commuter transportation is available through New Jersey Transit bus service with park-and-ride centers in nearby towns.  Shaped like a horseshoe, the township features tracts of undeveloped land for industrial, commercial, and residential development.  Several lake communities harmonize year-round homes with vacation and summer cottages.
