11/9/2009
MORRIS PLAINS, N.J., – In an effort to brighten the
holiday season for children in need, Weichert kicked off its 31st Annual
Toy Drive.
Toys will be collected at each of the company’s sales offices for distribution
to financially and/or physically disadvantaged children within the local
communities. Weichert employees at the company’s corporate headquarters in Morris Plains,
along with other company locations throughout the United States will also participate
in the yearly community service event.
“Every year
we look forward to making the holiday season more enjoyable for the local communities
we serve,” said James M. Weichert, president and founder of Weichert, Realtors.
“I’m proud that for 31 years we have had a part in
enriching the lives of the children who are most in need.”
Weichert
offices will accept donations of new unwrapped toys through December 11.
Local charities that assist needy or underprivileged children will deliver the
toys during the holidays. Last year nearly 25,000 toys were distributed
to charitable and service organizations in the communities Weichert serves.
To make a
donation, drop off new, unwrapped toys at any Weichert, Realtors office.
