History and Growth
Established in 1980, in Chatham, NJ with a small group of employees, Weichert Financial
Services has now grown to over 400 employees serving all of the Weichert, Realtors’
territories in 7 states and the District of Columbia.
Weichert Financial Services is affiliated with Weichert, Realtors, the Number One
independently owned real estate company in the nation. With over $1.9 Billion in
annual servicing, Weichert Financial Services leads the way for ‘Point of
Sale’ mortgage origination.
As a Licensed Mortgage Banker, Weichert Financial Services derives its mortgage
products from many sources and investors; unlike banks or savings and loan institutions,
which are often limited by the availability of their own deposits and a single lending
philosophy.
We also seek out, and contract with, organizations such as the Federal National
Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. (Freddie
Mac), and many other permanent investors to insure that the most competitive and
versatile lending products are available. We are delegated underwriters for FNMA,
FHLMC, GINNIE MAE and many jumbo and super jumbo products. With over 370 programs
to offer our customers we never tire of telling our buyers they have a mortgage
commitment.
Weichert Financial Services is continually working with our national and local mortgage
investors to develop mortgage loan programs that fill the changing needs of our
customers and the real estate market. For those buyers who are ‘credit challenged’
we have our Consumer Direct division. Supplying the best in ‘B’ and
‘C’ paper this division also handles 100% Financing, Bridge loans and
Home Equity Loans.
