Equipping a home with an exercise area can increase its appeal to buyers.

According to the National Sporting Goods Association, retail sales of home gym equipment continue to grow from year to year.

Bob Greene, certified personal trainer to Oprah Winfrey, reveals that designating a spare room as an exercise room does not necessarily require the purchase of expensive equipment.
REALTOR Magazine suggests purchasing simple, lower-cost alternatives to designate an exercise area, such as: a yoga mat, small free weights, an exercise ball and a jump rope.

Another low-cost recommendation for an exercise area is to add color to the walls or hang up pictures to make the room more inviting and resemble the design of a health club.

By implementing simple and lower-cost alternatives, you can increase your home’s appeal to potential buyers without spending money on remodeling or expensive equipment.
