The small, friendly town of Citronelle is rich in tradition, boasting many historic sites and deep Southern heritage. With a motto of Droit er Avant or “right and forward,” the city is home to a variety of services, restaurants, and new shopping center. Community spirit is high, and regional visitors join residents for the last surrender of the Civil War reenactment at the Surrender Oak site in Citronelle each May.
